Studio 1219 Hits the Road
Posted November 23, 2009
As part of expanding art in the community, this week Studio 1219 rolled out its program of placing art in downtown Port Huron businesses. Starting with a trial run at Salon Pizazz, 104 Huron Avenue, through November. The Studio will be working with various business partners to expand art in the community through the upcoming months.
The current exhibit at Salon Pizazz features works from the Studio’s Artists’ Network, including Jane Weiss, John Henry, George McInnis, and others.
“This is another opportunity for the Studio to collaborate with local businesses,” explained Studio 1219’s Executive Director, Lee-Perry Belleau. “And it gives our artists more exposure to showcase their work. It’s a win-win situation.”
Patrons can see the artists’ works through November at the Salon during normal business hours, Tuesdays 9am to 6pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9am to 7pm, Friday 9am to 9m and Saturday 8am to 4pm.
Companies interested in partnering with Studio 1219 to have the Studio’s artists displayed in their business can contact Executive Director Lee-Perry Belleau at the Studio
