First Deadline Nears for “Inspired Art 2012”— $6,000 in Prizes!

There’s still time to Create. Compete. Exhibit. Award. “Inspired Art 2012: Jonah and the Whale” is a unique collaboration between Studio 1219 and Bridges Church in Port Huron, Michigan. First Prize in this juried contest is $3,000, second Prize is $2,000, and third Prize $1,000. The prize money is a two-year lease of the winning artwork. All entrants will have an opportunity to sell their work. Artistic mediums include paintings, drawings, music, videos, sculpture, ceramics, multi-media and more! Professionals and students alike are invited to enter the contest.
The deadline for applications for “Inspired Art 2012” is Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Artwork must be to the Studio by March 1, 2012. All artists’ work juried into the show will be in the exhibit from April 10 through May 19, and they will have the opportunity to auction off their work at the May 20th awards reception.
